I am a Surgical Technology student passionate about patient care, anatomy, and the role of the surgical team in providing safe and effective patient care. Throughout my education and clinical training, I have developed skills in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, patient safety, communication, and teamwork.
I worked as a medical assistant for seven years, including two years in dermatology and five years in orthopedics. While working in orthopedics, I had the opportunity to assist with in-office procedures, which sparked my interest in the operating room. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in surgical technology and expand my knowledge of surgical procedures and human anatomy.
During my Surgical Technology program, I was honored to receive Student of the Month recognition for my academic performance, professionalism, and dedication. I also volunteer with the Scalpel Society by assisting with event setup, contributing ideas, and supporting fundraising activities. Outside of my education and career development, I enjoy exercising, walking, and spending time with my family and dog.
